Greetings to all band parents!
Preparations are underway for our annual BCI (Bedford
County Invitational)! For those new to the program,
BCI is a marching band competition that is hosted by the 3 Bedford
County high schools - JF, Staunton River, and Liberty. (Each school
benefits from all profits made that day.)
The date is set for Saturday,
September 24, 2011 (The start time depends on the number of
bands participating in competition, but generally starts in
the early afternoon.) As you might guess, time is going
to fly between now and then and much needs to be done. Please
volunteer to help by working a short 2 hour shift on competition
day. If you can help out all day.. that's event better!
Trophy Sponsorship:
Attached you will find a trophy sponsorship form. Please consider
this opportunity. By sponsoring a trophy, you not only help offset
the costs of the trophies for the event, but it is a wonderful way
to recognize your marcher(s) in the band, other loved ones, or a
business. The sponsors for each trophy are printed in our programs
as well as announced during the trophy presentation.
BCI Program Ads:
Want a detailed and inexpensive way to advertise a business?
How about recognizing band members with their pictures and a memo from
you (especially seniors)?
How about doing this with the visibility of approximately 800-1000
people who have hours of time on their hands to flip through the
program? Ok, then this is for you!
Each band member is encouraged to sell at least one program ad and
one trophy sponsorship.
